Microsoft Announces EU Data Boundary for the Microsoft Cloud

On 6th May 2021 Microsoft announced some changes that will take place over the next year and a half which will be a big benefit to European Union based customers.  The announcement is a pledge from the software giant to enable European Union (EU) customers to have all their data, and processing, kept inside the EU zone.  The change won't be instant since there is a significant amount of technical and operational changes and investments that need to be made. Microsoft say that they believe the changes will meet regulatory requirements in the EU and the needs of European customers.
