Cloudficient: From Good (2022) to Great (2023)

After a busy December 2022 and January 2023 filled with planning meetings, a company kickoff, and our Q1 2023 Sales & Marketing Quarterly Business Review (QBR), I wanted to take a moment to reflect on Cloudficient's achievements in 2022 and our excitement for the year ahead.

First off, I wanted to say thanks to the entire Cloudficient team for their hard work and dedication in 2022. Growing a company is full of challenges, but I'm honored to work with such a talented team that creates so much collective value to our customers and the market.

Despite our share of obstacles last year, Cloudficient had a profitable 2022 (FY22) overall with a ~70% YoY increase in booked revenues and a ~160% YoY increase in overall transactions.  With the global uncertainty around Russia/Ukraine and central banks increasing interest rates to tame rising inflation, I’m proud to say our management team was able to get in front of various challenges, taking decisive action to optimize the business for maximum scalability.  One of the best decisions we made as a management team was to bring Svitlana Sakovych on board as our Chief Financial Officer (CFO).  Svitlana has quickly improved our financial processes and implemented a new ERP system.

unsplash - stock - successIn marketing, the team excelled, producing over 120 blogs and 20 pieces of new collateral. Our Marketing Sourced Pipeline (MSP) grew by 220% YoY and MSP Closed grew by 410% YoY. Additionally, our monthly peak organic search volume increased by almost 25X YoY. Interestingly, during 2022 we saw very little competition in many of the deals we worked on, leaving us to focus on producing the best outcome for the customer.

Our development team brought new major versions of our Expireon and PSTComplete technologies to market, adding tons of capabilities to match significantly growing customer interest.  With superhuman foresight from our CTO, much of our previous analysis around Microsoft API changes from late 2021 was proven correct which ensured efforts focused on optimal areas.

Given the increase in the number of transactions we had in 2022, our delivery team stepped up in a significant way closing out a higher number of projects than expected.  This included one of our largest projects to date, an organization in the financial industry with over 2 PB of legacy on-premise archive data.  All this could not have been achieved without adding key resources to the team like Milan Tomovčík mid-year and Billy Cosentino late last year to ensure comprehensive coverage for our customers.

As we look ahead to 2023, I’m excited to report we have the best setup the company has ever experienced in terms of overall opportunity.  Additionally, I am thrilled to announce that we have some exciting initiatives planned for the year. Our focus for the year will be to continue to scale our business, expand our offerings, and strengthen our presence in the market.

First, we will be launching new products and services to meet the evolving needs of our customers. We are always seeking new ways to add value and make a difference in the lives of our customers. Our team is working hard to bring innovative solutions to market that will set us apart from our competitors and help us continue to grow.

Second, we will be expanding our reach into new markets and geographies. Our goal is to bring our services to more customers around the world and help more businesses grow and succeed. We believe that by expanding our footprint, we can make a positive impact on more communities and drive meaningful growth for our company.

Finally, we will be investing in our team and our technology. We believe that our people are our greatest asset and we will continue to support their growth and development. While there seems to be a rash of big company layoffs going on, Cloudficient is currently looking to hire new resources and expand our team.  Additionally, we will be investing in the latest technology and tools to ensure that we are always at the forefront of innovation and able to deliver the highest quality services to our customers.

In conclusion, I am confident that 2023 will be a banner year for Cloudficient and I am excited to see what we will accomplish together. I want to thank our customers, partners, and team for their continued support and look forward to another year of growth and success.
